My involvement in the arts spans over 35 years, during which time I worked at the Banff Centre - though never as an artist myself!  A lifelong knitter, I began felting my knitted pieces about eight years ago, using them as a base for needle felting.  My introduction to the craft came through a Christmas ornament workshop at artsPlace, where I received my first felting needle as part of the materials.  

From that starting point, I began to explore the possibilities of felting, creating functional objects and incorporating three-dimensional forms into my designs.  I draw inspiration from the natural world that surrounds me: the mountains, vegetation, and animals of our landscape.
