As a wildlife biologist, I have always been drawn to natural landscapes and the plants, animals and people that depend upon them. I believe that our views and values are shaped by the landscapes that we occupy. I have been fortunate to experience these diverse relationships in many parts of the world. After spending more than thirty years in northern Canada, Kathy and I retired to Canmore in 2014.
As retirement approached, I rekindled a long-standing interest in photography. Photography gives me a motivation to explore the landscapes surrounding Canmore and a means to document and celebrate the beauty and power of the natural landscape. It also provides a means to share these special moments with others.
