I have fallen in love with the effects of mountain light through glass. There is an infinite variety in the way that a single piece can present, depending on the angle of the light coming through it. A piece might glow in the sunset or cast multi-coloured shadows on a sunny day. There are endless possibilities in the combinations of different glass colours, textures, and shapes.

I have been working with stained glass for about 10 years. The craft involves many interesting steps – drafting patterns, cutting and shaping glass and soldering the pieces into final form. The challenge of making pieces that are three-dimensional adds another layer of interest.

My work in stained glass reflects my previous years of involvement with fiber arts, including weaving, sewing, knitting, and stitching.

I also enjoy doing commissions that can be adapted to particular owners and settings.
