I grew up in Los Angeles, California and in 1970, I began my studies at UC Berkeley in architecture and graphic design. After finishing my degree, my Canadian boyfriend and I got married and we moved to Toronto where I worked as a freelance graphic artist.

After finishing my degree at the Ontario College of Art, I worked in a graphic design firm for several years, then moved on to raise our two children as a stay-at-home mom. I volunteered in the their schools, using my design skills and learning new computer design programs. Then an opportunity presented itself and I became President of an engineering software firm. After 20 exciting years with the company, I wanted to do something else.

I was always intrigued by watercolour, so I joined a painting workshop in Italy in 2011, which changed everything for me. Painting and sketching outside was so exhilarating…I have been doing it ever since. Now my grandchildren are growing up in Canmore, so sketching and painting here in this beautiful environment will be my new artistic adventure.
