I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a DMD degree in 1976. I have enjoyed a long professional career in Manitoba and Alberta. I have always had an interest in art and art history but until recently have had little time to pursue those interests. Now that I live part time in Canmore, exposure to the mountain environment has opened my eyes to the shadows and subtle colour variations of the Rockies and environs. I find the abundant wildlife and amazing scenery very inspirational. My hero in the watercolour world is the late Walter Phillips who also lived in Winnipeg, Calgary and Banff. I not only recognize most of the artist’s compositions’ locations but also marvel at his technical ability. I work in both watercolour and acrylic mediums. I held my first solo art exhibition entitled “From Lake Louise to Lake of the Woods and everything in between” at the Edge Gallery in Winnipeg, Manitoba in September 2017
I am represented by Stephen Lowe Gallery in Calgary.
