Christine Foran- Artist Statement

Christine Foran is a photographer based in Canmore and Calgary, Alberta. Drawn by photographing nature and landscapes, the mountains are her backyard. She loves to explore and discover what is not always observed by others - the golden hues of flowers in the twilight, snowy blankets off the ski tracks, or intimate corners of a waterfall. It is the emotional tone of a scene that brings the camera to her eye, accentuating curves, light, and creative possibilities.

Christine is guided by the words, “To Nature is To Nurture.” She believes that through nature, one connects more easily with the soulful needs of one’s body. Through photography, we can all receive the benefits of nature-based renewal.
