Anna is an 18 year old local photographer who has been fortunate enough to have grown up in Canmore and continues to call it home. Anna was first a participant of the Through the Lens program at her high school culminating in an exhibition at the Whyte Museum in Banff and since then she has continued to work with photography by traveling to Japan to participate in the Higashikawa Photography competition, working for Banff Photography and taking photos for the local Canmore Folk Music Festival. Anna was also recognized when she was named Mountain Idol at the 2017 Banff Mountain Film Festival. Her sense of adventure drives her love and skill for photography as she continues to take photos with friends and learns more and more about the skill of photography from mentors and by attending classes at SAIT in Calgary. Last fall the Canmore Art Guild awarded Anna with a scholarship for students graduating from CCHS. Anna was also a member of the 2017 Youth Canadian National Biathlon Team and has the long term goal of someday representing Canada at an Olympic games. She is currently a full time biathlete training with the Biathlon Alberta Training Center in Canmore.
