Alice “ACE” Conniff - Artist Statement

I’ve always found inspiration in nature’s patterns and shapes and by exploring my environment through outdoor recreation. I paint with acrylic paint using a primary colour palette to create surreal or dreamlike images. The bright colours make my work playful and captivating. My work has been described as painting from the soul or intuitive painting. In addition I illustrate using pen and ink and digital art forms. I also enjoy painting panoramic landscapes inspired by time spent in the mountains. My art often explores the idea of creation and destruction, and balance and harmony.
